ABOUT
Rising Violet Press is a queer owned Stationary and Apparel business based in Melbourne, Australia.
Rising Violet Press was born in late 2019 when owner/designer Bonnie decided to expand their previous greeting card business ‘Letters by Bonnie’ into an inclusive one stop shop for everything LGBTIQ+, pop culture and feminism.
All products are designed by Bonnie in Melbourne, and most are produced by small local businesses. They aim to make products that are inclusive, cute and unique.
TEAM
Bonnie (They/Them)
Bonnie is the jack of all trades here at Rising Violet Press. You can find them designing products, running social media, making spreadsheets and sending orders. They started designing greeting cards in 2017 when they noticed a huge lack of cards made for the LGBT community, and since then has started designing stickers, pins, clothing and more!
Tennessee (They/Them)
Tennessee is Bonnie's partner/spouse/wusband/boyfriend and can be found folding t-shirts late at night, talking down Bonnie when they're stressed or being a super salesperson at our market stalls.
Nory (Her/She)
You can find Nory schmoozing customers at our market stalls, kindly pressuring people to follow us on insta, helping to create content for social media and entertaining Bonnie on long drives to markets.
Rin (She/Her)
Rin is RVP’s Head of US Logistics (ok, that’s just a fancy name that Bonnie made up when writing this bio). Rin can be found packing and shipping all of the orders going to the US and Europe. Rin lives with her wife Annie and their Newfoundland/Poodle Cross Billie in Florida. Bonnie and Rin know each other through a mutual friend, but first met in 2019 when Rin invited Bonnie to see Hayley Kiyoko (Lesbian Jesus) in New York. If that’s not gay, I don’t know what is.
